The call is the ideal way for bookers to check which artists are available for your event. The booker places a call, Gigstarter passes the call to all appropriate artists, and artists indicate whether they are interested to perform at the event.
If you respond to a call, it is not certain that you will eventually be booked. There may be several artists available, and in that case the booker must make a choice.
We ask the booker to inform the artists who he or she has interest in as soon as possible.
The number of calls you receive depends mainly on the style of music you perform and the budget. If you play music in popular genres, you'll probably receive more calls compared to playing a more niche genre. However, keep in mind that each European country has specific demands; for example, there is a higher chance of getting booked as a DJ in the Netherlands than in Italy. All these factors should be considered when handling calls. Last but not least, only PRO and PRO+ members get invited for calls.
First, make sure you're available on the date of the performance. If you and your potential band members are available, and the booker's conditions and budget appeal to you, you can indicate that you are available for the performance.
To indicate your availability, you must be a Gigstarter PRO artist.
If you indicated that you are maybe or available, you will be notified if the booker is interested.
If you are not available then you can indicate this with the unavailable button.
